Antonello Cannas, M.Sc., Ph.D. CV completo – Italiano Professore ordinario di Zootecnica Speciale presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Zootecniche dell'Università di Sassari. Si è laureato in Scienze Agrarie presso la stessa università nel 1986; ha quindi conseguito i titoli di Master of Science (1995) e di Philosophy Doctor (2000) in Animal Science presso la Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA. Lavora principalmente sulla nutrizione dei ruminanti, ed in particolare sui piccoli ruminanti. E' autore di oltre 90 pubblicazioni scientifiche e tecniche su fabbisogni energetici e proteici degli ovini e dei caprini, turnover ruminale degli alimenti nei ruminanti, urea del latte come indice nutrizionale negli ovini e nei caprini e su varie problematiche relative alle tecniche di allevamento. Attualmente insegna presso la Facoltà Agraria di Sassari corsi sulle tecniche di allevamento degli ovini e dei caprini, sulla valutazione degli alimenti e sulla tecnica mangimistica. Prof.

on: ruminant nutrition, with special focus on small ruminants; feed
evaluation; energy and protein requirements of ruminants; rumen function and
turnover; milk urea as nutritional indicator; nutrition and milk composition
in small ruminants. Teaching in graduate courses: Animal production; Sheep
and goat production; Feed processing and evaluation. Teaching in postgraduate
